Fijian Drua co-captain Tevita Ikanivere headlines a group of five players set to leave the club, including four foundation players who have been with the Super Rugby Pacific side since the team’s debut season in 2022.

Ikanivere was an important member of the Drua’s squad since the very beginning, starting at hooker in the team’s debut Super Rugby fixture away to the NSW Waratahs on February 18, 2022, at Sydney’s CommBank Stadium.

After four seasons with the Fijian side, Ikanivere holds a special place in history as one of only two players who have reached the 50-game mark for the Drua. Isoa Nasilasila was the other, with the pair reaching the milestone in the same fixture against the Reds last month.

It’d been reported that Ikanivere was expected to leave the Dura, but the cub made it official with a post on social media this week. The Drua have also thanked Caleb Muntz, Ratu Leone Rotuisolia, Selestino Ravutaumada and Iosefo Masi for their time at the club.

Muntz has long been linked with a move to France, and it’s been reported that Ravutaumada was set to sign with Parisian side Racing 92 in the Top 14. There’s been no official word on where Masi might end up, but All.Rugby understands the Olympic gold medallist has joined Lyon.

“Vinaka Vakalevu to the four Foundation players Tex, Caleb, Stino, Ratu and also to Masi for the unforgettable memories,” the social media post reads.

“Your passion and commitment have left a lasting impact on Fiji’s first Super Rugby Pacific club and our fans.

“You will always be a part of our Drua Vuvale and we wish you all the best in your future.”

While these five players will leave behind an everlasting legacy at the Drua, the club has signed new talent ahead of the 2026 season. It was announced earlier this week that Suva centre Iosefo Namoce has signed a two-year deal.

Namoce has been described as a “standout” in the provincial competition in Fiji, who was also impressive while playing centre for Gungahlin Eagles First Grade in Canberra. With the ability to cover both inside and outside centre, this is an exciting signing for the Drua.

“I am feeling a mix of excitement, pressure and nerves but ready to contribute and make a positive impact to the club next season,” Namoce, 23, said in a statement.

Fijian Drua General Manager of Rugby, Baden Stephenson, added: “Our club is very excited about Iosefo joining the Fijian Drua. He is a player that has attributes that align to the Drua playing style and identity.

“Iosefo’s journey hasn’t always been straight forward, however, I am confident that our rugby environment can fast-track him into a quality Super Rugby Pacific player.”
