Over the past 60+ years, we’ve been fortunate to consistently expand our business, and in 2023 we saw many defining moments in Jetcraft’s story.

In April, we solidified our premier sector position, acquiring North American firm CFS Jets. Our collective team of more than 100 global advisors now bring over a century of combined experience and the most diverse product expertise in the industry. Last year we also teamed up with Bill Papariella as the exclusive trading partner to AeroVentures. We’re working together to foster long-term growth and share information, including Jetcraft’s market-leading data and analytics. And, in a first-of-its-kind collaboration, we joined forces with Jetquity, opening up their pioneering Residual Value Program to our client base.

For me, the highlight of this past year has been creating new partnerships and welcoming many experienced aviation specialists to our team, ensuring our dedicated experts are there to guide buyers and sellers through their transaction journey from across the globe.

Delivering invaluable services to you, our loyal community, is at the heart of what we do. That’s why we are harnessing the latest, innovative technology in the pre-owned business aircraft market.

We begin 2024 with our biggest network to date and are not only set to trade aircraft at the Speed of Life, but also venture Beyond the Globe. Following the opening of our Decentraland-based lounge, marking our permanent presence in the Metaverse, in December we unveiled a new state-of-the-art virtual hangar, and look forward to bringing you further into this immersive world.

As I reflect on a year where the return of the corporate buyer drove business aviation demand, we enter 2024 with confidence and assurance in the strength of our industry.

Additionally, our 2023 Pre-Owned Business Jet Market Forecast also found these younger buyers fly their aircraft 19% more on average than those aged over 50.  

It’s no surprise either that new research from Bain & Co shows that millennials and Generation Z are increasingly driving the ultra-luxury sector, accounting for all of the luxury market’s growth last year 

Connecting with our audience is how we’re successful. We know our customers. And our regional presence gives us a cultural understanding that many other aircraft specialists can’t match. This insight also applies to the different generations that now make up our customer base. 

So how do you engage with the next generation when it comes to selling luxury assets? 

Tapping into technology  

At Jetcraft, we have a long history with data and technology. We’re now harnessing the power of the very latest technologies to make the buying process more immersive to fully meet the expectations of this new audience – our Beyond the Globe experience. 

This includes our Decentraland-based lounge, which we opened in 2022 and our newly launched virtual hangar which gives visitors 24/7 year-round access to a range of aircraft in a 360-degree immersive experience. Combined, our customers can virtually explore our expertise, inventory and examples of aircraft at their own leisure to first to get a feel for what might suit their mission, before connecting in-person with one of our experts around the globe. 

We also launched our internal chatbot, JetGPT, which harnesses generative AI to provide faster and smarter insights for our clients. By hooking into our existing software, JetGPT gives our sales team instant access to microdata on our aircraft inventory, market summaries and emerging market trends. This furthers our ability to find the exact aircraft for our clients’ needs in minutes. 

Seeking sustainability

Luxury shoppers – and younger consumers in particular – are more likely to take an active interest in the sustainability of a product or service and be willing to spend more on sustainable products.  

Many of our young entrepreneur clients are founders of businesses that have invested in technology to help the fight against climate change and are looking for transport solutions that offer convenience while supporting their goals.   

We take our responsibility seriously and have partnered with environmental impact measurement company Azzera to achieve carbon neutrality and invest in projects that deliver environmental and social change across the globe. We also encourage all our customers to use sustainable aviation fuel and are supportive of the industry’s efforts to increase its availability.   

Ultimately, when it comes to the luxury sector, these measures aren’t a luxury. Instead, they’re a crucial component of meeting the new expectations of a discerning younger consumer prioritizing interactivity and sustainability.

Last year, we celebrated our 60th anniversary – something we’ll always look back on with pride.

In 1962, our founder Charles “Bucky” Oliver acquired Raleigh Durham Aviation which later began trading as the Jetcraft you know. Since then, Jetcraft has grown extraordinarily, from a predominantly US-based organization to an expanding global corporation. Today, we operate more than 20 offices worldwide with a team of over 70 aviation experts across five continents, and have no intention of stopping there.

Our 60th year has truly been one to remember. We unveiled a new look, showcasing our global team’s unstoppable attitude for delivering industry-leading market intelligence, unbeatable access and proven results to go further and faster for every aircraft transaction. We established the first business aviation lounge in the Metaverse, taking our global footprint even further by removing the boundaries of the physical world from business aircraft sales, acquisitions and trades.

Working closely with ZenithJet and Azzera, specialists in climate action solutions, Jetcraft became a carbon neutral business, removing 3,596 verified tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions from the atmosphere, while investing in a variety of projects that deliver positive, environmental, developmental and social change around the globe. And, to mark the official end of our year-long 60th anniversary celebrations, we shared our story on the world’s tallest building – the Burj Khalifa – underlining a commitment to perform transactions at the Speed of Life and our optimistic outlook for business aviation going into 2023 and beyond.

On a personal note, my favorite part of 2022 was getting together with so many for the first time since 2019. Not only were we able to gather in person as a Jetcraft team once again, but also with you – our clients, partners and friends.

I’d like to take another moment to express my gratitude for all of you; each of you have, in one way or another, been a part of our 60-year-long journey. On behalf of the executive team and everyone at Jetcraft, thank you. We wouldn’t be here today without you.

2023 is poised to be another exciting year in business aviation. We’re ready for it. We’re ready for the next six decades and beyond. And, we promise to never stop supporting you at the Speed of Life.

There are no shortcuts to success. For more than 55 years, you have gifted us your loyalty, trust and support. In return, we’ve been able to extend the Jetcraft family to over 20 locations across the globe. And whether we’re in Hong Kong, New York or London, the warm welcome we’ve received has helped us to become a global company without losing that essential, local feel.

This is due to the helping hands and open minds of each person we’ve encountered who has become a part of our network. We started as a small company and we still have that mentality. Each individual makes up an integral part of this milestone, and it is to you that we are indebted.

Our journey to this point has been difficult at times. Navigating through the worst aviation downturn in history, and reaching this peak on the other side, has required us to be bold. It is only from the strength of your support that we have been able to take risks, find our own path, and break ground in new places. It is because of you that we have arrived at this significant moment in our history.
